Rights under the DPDPA, 2023

In full compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023, Vakilat.io respects your rights as a Data Principal. You have the right to query the data we hold, correct inaccuracies, or demand complete erasure.

Waitlist Data Deletion

If you have registered for early access and wish to be removed from our priority list, please email our Data Protection Officer at legal@vakilat.io from the email address you registered with. Your name, email, phone number, and practice details will be permanently purged from our database within 72 hours.

Platform Data Deletion (Active Users)

For actively onboarded advocates and law firms, the Vakilat platform provides a self-service "Delete Organization" tool in your settings dashboard. Triggering this option initiates a cascading purge of:

• All your uploaded case files and documents
• All vector embeddings generated from your files
• All AI chat history, research memos, and generated drafts
• Team member access records

For security, you must confirm this action via a one-time password (OTP) sent to the firm administrator's registered email.
