Last updated 27 October 2026

How to read the checks on a Vakilat answer: quotations matched word for word, citations found in the stored judgment, and a statement set aside with its reason.

1 minute 21 seconds. Filmed on https://app.vakilat.io on 20 October 2026 with a demonstration account. The answers are real ones, shown as a demonstration, and are not legal advice.

## What the film shows

Every statement in a Vakilat answer rests on a quotation from a Supreme Court judgment. Before the answer reaches you, ordinary code looks for each citation in the stored judgment and matches each quotation word for word against its paragraph.

This film takes a question on whether a dying declaration alone can support a conviction. One statement went further than the judgment says, so Vakilat moved it out of the answer, gave the reason and dropped its citation. You also see the research activity, the count of statements that passed, and how to report a problem.

## Transcript

Every Vakilat answer is checked before it reaches you. Here is how to read those checks. This question asks whether a dying declaration alone can support a conviction.

Each statement rests on a quotation, and every quotation was matched word for word against the Court's own copy. Every citation was found in the stored judgment, down to the paragraph and the page. When a statement fails a check, it is never passed off as law.

It moves to Not verified, with the reason, and carries no citation. Here, one statement went further than the judgment says, so Vakilat set it aside. Below the answer, you can see how many statements passed the checks, and the date the judgments are held through.

Research activity shows each search it ran, and each judgment it read, step by step. If something looks wrong, report it in one click, and follow it under Your reports. Quotations matched, citations found, and anything doubtful set aside, with its reason.
